(Yes it's Wednesday but yesterday was New Year's Day so hopefully this should get a pass)
This past weekend was the last regular season weekend in the NFL and the last week for fantasy football. It was an interesting year for me in fantasy football. I was in the most leagues that I've ever been in with 8. I made the playoffs in 5 of those leagues. I made the finals in all 5 of those leagues, and I ended up with 2 titles. This past weekend I won the "Bounty Program" Fantasy League (I've won that league in back to back seasons).
So while I would've liked to have won more titles but it's still pretty impressive to have made 5 championship games. It'll give more to shoot for next season.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Championship Week 1
This past weekend was Week 16 in the NFL and the weekend for several championships in a couple of the leagues I'm in currently. In one league, I lost (unfortunately due to a trade that took place a few days prior to the matchup) but in another league I won. That league (Dogs of War) was the first year I've been in this league. I was invited by a couple from church to participate. Not bad for my first year in the league to win the title. Here's the recap of the championship game:
Championship: GSP Titans Gets Win Against Minimal Talent
- GSP Titans (10-6) 156.91
- Minimal Talent (8-8) 138.84
GSP Titans, led by Matt Ryan
with 47.41 points and Roddy White with 29.65, beat Minimal Talent,
156.91 - 138.84. GSP Titans has put a nice string together after winning
their last three matchups in a row. GSP Titans gets revenge for their
last matchup with Minimal Talent (a Week 13 loss: 128.64 - 93.95), and
their head-to-head record improves to 3-1.
GSP Titans Smooth Moves- The 29.65 points scored by Roddy White was the second-highest WR score in the league this week and the sixth-best point total by a WR in the league this season.
- The Chicago Bears Defense had 27.00 points, the highest DEF score of the week and the fifth-highest score among DEF in the league this season.
- Stephen Gostkowski scored 11.50 points, the highest K score in the league this week.
- Matt Ryan ranked fourth in the league in scoring and had the highest output of any player on GSP Titans this season with 47.41 points.
- Benched the Seattle Seahawks Defense, which had the lowest DEF score on the team with 19.00 points.
- Owen Daniels scored 2.85 points against a projected 6.06 and has now underachieved in four straight games.
- At the DEF position, Minimal Talent got outscored 27.00 - 3.00 by GSP Titans.
- Minimal Talent fell short at the K position, getting outscored 11.50 - 2.00 by GSP Titans.
- The 3.70 points scored by Arian Foster was a season-low. He had a projected 22.97-point total, and has now underachieved in four straight games.
- Lawrence Tynes was last on the team in scoring with 2.00 points against a projected 7.48 and underachieved for the third time this season.
What If
- GSP Titans would be 7-9 if they played Minimal Talent every week.
- GSP Titans would have beaten only one other team besides Minimal Talent this week.
- Had they played each other last week, GSP Titans would have defeated Minimal Talent 155.10 - 144.08.
- GSP Titans would be 6-6 if they played the same schedule as Minimal Talent.
- If GSP Titans had played every team in the league each week, they would be 37-39.
- Minimal Talent would have lost to two other teams besides GSP Titans this week.
- Minimal Talent would be 8-4 if they played the same schedule as GSP Titans.
- If they played every team every week, Minimal Talent would be 42-34.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 15
It's Fantasy Football Tuesday. It's been a few weeks but I'm back (do think next year when I do this I'll make mention of more leagues than just one, be more motivated to blog about that). It's the middle of the playoffs. In 8 leagues, I made the playoffs in 5 of them. In the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League, I limped in as the 4 seed and didn't secure a bye. But I won last week and then this week had a matchup with the #1 seed and a team I had lost to earlier in the season. Given the stakes, my team pulled out the upset and is now onto the championship game. Here's the recap:
Playoffs: Hub City All Stars Gets Comeback Stunner Against Vlad Dracul
- Hub City All Stars (9-6) 189.52
- Vlad Dracul (8-6) 155.16
Hub City All Stars pulled off a comeback on Sunday night and also
got the eighth-highest point total in the league to date when they upset
Vlad Dracul 189.52 - 155.16. Hub City All Stars had to overcome a
64.36-point deficit and an 18.40-point spread. This shocker avenges a
172.44 - 138.78 loss to Vlad Dracul back in Week 10. On top of the loss,
Vlad Dracul had a starter score zero points (Danario Alexander).
Hub City All Stars Smooth Moves

- Eric Decker had the second-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 25.30 points.
- Frank Gore scored 17.70 points, which ranked sixth out of all the RBs in the league this week.
- Left the Denver Broncos Defense on the bench, where they scored 30.00 points to beat their scoring projection by 245.6%, the fifth-highest percentage in the league.
- Picked up Dan Bailey, who scored 11.00 points against a projected 7.87, but left him on the bench.
- Vlad Dracul needed more points from the QB position, where Hub City All Stars beat them 54.82 - 20.16.
- At the DEF position, Vlad Dracul got outscored 25.00 - 11.00 by Hub City All Stars.
- Vlad Dracul could have used more points from the TE position, where Hub City All Stars beat them 15.20 - 6.90.
- If Hub City All Stars played Vlad Dracul every week, they would be 6-8 this season.
- Besides Vlad Dracul, Hub City All Stars would have defeated four other teams this week.
- If they played the same schedule as Vlad Dracul, Hub City All Stars would be 8-4.
- If Hub City All Stars had played every team in the league each week, they would be 64-35.
- In addition to Hub City All Stars, Vlad Dracul would have lost to just two other teams this week.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 11
The regular season is quickly drawing to a close in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League and for the Hub City All Stars, there was a well needed victory that came through in Week 11. With the win, the record improves to 7-4 and have clinched a playoff berth. They are #2 overall in the league and still lead the Autobots division with 2 games to go. Here's the recap:

- Starfleet (3-8) 86.60

Starfleet 111.94 - 86.60 to remain undefeated against them in three
matchups. They also earned a playoff berth in the process. Tom Brady put
up 36.24 points and was the deciding factor. It was a drop-off from his
53.80 points in the last matchup with Starfleet. The outcome could have
gone the other way, Starfleet had several starters score zero points.
This marks the closest win for Hub City All Stars in three head-to-head
matchups. They defeated Starfleet 150.04 - 103.22 in Week 1 and again
165.70 - 102.44 in Week 6.

- Miles Austin has now failed to reach his projection for four straight games. This week he scored 5.80 points versus a projected 13.65.
- Wes Welker scored 8.00 points against a projected 12.59 and has now underachieved in three straight games.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 10
It has been a tough stretch for the Hub City All Stars. They had another loss this week, week 10 of the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League. The team was hurt by some underperformances by some key players and the other team overachieved greatly. With the loss, they drop to 6-4 and now are 2nd overall in the league. However, they still maintain a 1 game league in the division with 3 games to go in the regular season. Hopefully, the team can bounce back and put together a nice little winning streak heading into the playoffs. Here's the recap for Week 10:

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 9
The fantasy football season is heating up and each week the games being played become more and more important. Whether it's making sure you're in a position to make the playoffs or securing a top seed, it's important to be competitive and win. After two straight losses in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League, the Hub City All Stars needed to get a win. And sure enough they did just that. They came out and blasted their opponent, the transaction happy Joel's Juggernauts by the 2nd largest margin of victory this week. With the win, the All Stars remain atop of the Autobots Division & #1 overall in the league. result, with the 117.62-point margin of victory being the second-highest
recorded in the league this season.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 8
Week 8 proved to be another down week in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League for the Hub City All Stars. The All Stars lost the second week in a row. It doesn't help when one of your starting running backs only puts up 1.00 point (blame Chiefs HC Romeo Crennell for that one). Fortunately, I still have the lead in the division and overall (by point total). Hopefully next week, I can get off the losing streak. Here's the recap:

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 7
Week 7 has proven to be the week that "anybody can win any given week" in fantasy football has proven true. This week saw the Hub City All Stars get their second loss of the season in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League to the team with the worst record in the league. Granted I had my two starting running backs on the bye along with one of my starting wide receivers & Chris Johnson decided to actually play well this week which contributed to the loss. However, because of how the rest of the league shook out, I'm still in 1st place in my division and 1st overall in the league. Here's the recap for Week 7:

an answer to a 122.24 - 120.42 heartbreaking loss to Hub City All Stars
in Week 2. Leading Hub City All Stars, the Chicago Bears Defense (27.00
points) and Tom Brady (22.36) both ranked highly overall for the week.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 6
It is almost at the halfway point in the regular season of the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League. Week 6 just finished and there are about 7 weeks left (it's a 13 week regular season). At the unofficial halfway point, I am leading the league. I started out Week 1 in third place overall and moved my way up to first place overall in Week 2 and have held there since. Week 6 saw a rematch of Week 1 matchup between the Hub City All Stars and Starfleet. It is the second of three regular season matchups within the Autobots division. After a little bit of worrying about the Monday Night game, it ended up being a blowout. Out of five wins, three have been blowouts, including two straight weeks and three of the last four weeks. So my record is 5-1 and leading the league in points scored (1014.90) and given up the fewest points (747.90). Here's the recap for Week 6:
Hub City All Stars Beats the Pants Off Starfleet and Remains Unbeaten in Head-to-Head Play
- Hub City All Stars (5-1) 165.70
- Starfleet (3-3) 102.08
Hub City All Stars humiliates Starfleet after another blowout,
this time by a final score of 165.70 - 102.08. Tom Brady put up 53.80
points and was a force. It was much more than his 21.54 points in the
last matchup with Starfleet. Hub City All Stars won 150.04 - 103.22 in
Week 1, and now has a 55.22-point average margin of victory over
Starfleet.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 4
It was bound to happen. In all my years of playing fantasy football, I have never had an undefeated season. And it will not happen in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League. I had a feeling going into this week against my friend and fellow Union University alum Marty that I would get my first loss. I had two of my top receivers out on the bye week plus I was still without starting TE Aaron Hernandez. But I will say this about my team, they did not quit. It ended up being the closest matchup by the end of the Monday Night game and I put up the second most total points of the week. Coupled with a loss by the 2nd place team in the Autobots division, I'm still atop the Autobots division and #1 overall in the league.
After 4 weeks, I'm 3-1. If I can do that every 4 weeks, I'll be happy with that. Here's the recap for Week 4:

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 3
We just finished Week 3 of the NFL season & of the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League and needless to say it is crazy. I was interviewed by Josh, one of the hosts of the podcast and in predicting the season I mentioned I don't know who to pick to win it all because it can be so crazy and it's proven to be the case. With the smoke clearing after 3 weeks, I'm still the only undefeated team at 3-0. Here's some crazy statistics: there are 3 teams that are 2-1 and 2 of those teams have been outscored by their opponents after 3 weeks; there is a team that's 1-2 that has outscored his opponents by over 70+ points after 3 weeks. Needless to say, I stand behind my statement in that I have no idea who will win this league.
This past week I matched up against another of the hosts of the podcast, Josh. And it turned out to be the blowout of the week though I was shocked at the result. After having such a close matchup last week and sweating through the Monday night game, this week I could breathe easy after Sunday. I know to enjoy those when they come because that could all change next week. Next week I'll be squaring off against my friend from college and the #2 team in the league in what will be the game of the week. Before that happens, here's the recap from Week 3:

points per matchup. [Winner Goes Here] stays in seventh place with a 1-2
record. Hub City All Stars stays unbeaten and in first place after
having blown through Starfleet (150.04 - 103.22) and Alabama Autobots

250th Post: Fantasy Football Tuesday Week 2
It is almost fitting that the 250th post for Reflections on Sports is a post on fantasy football. It is a cool feat that this blog has reached a milestone like this and have enjoyed the ride so far and look forward to hopefully 250 more posts.
It was in interesting week 2 in the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League. After the aftermath of Week 1, I was in 3rd place overall and 1st in the "Autobots" division. On the podcast last week, the guys at JustUs Geeks made mention of my performance by saying that my point total for week 1 "was never wrong".
Week 2 saw a crazy output by all the teams in the league. Going into Monday night it looked as if every team in the league would have 1 win and 1 loss. I was down going into the Monday night game with Eric Decker left to play. I was hurt big time by Aaron Hernandez getting hurt early in his game and putting up 0 points and Jamaal Charles & Brandon Marshall getting next to nothing. Thankfully I was helped that my opponent Jared started Antonio Gates who didn't play and Eli Manning who was on the bench. It literally took a late 4th quarter rally aided by a punt return and reception by Decker to put me over the top and to secure the victory. With the win, I go to 2-0 and atop the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League after two weeks. Here's the recap of Week 2:

Fantasy Football Tuesday Week 1
I did this a few years ago and figured why not do it again this year (partly because a lot of this done for me). :)
The NFL season kicked off with Week 1 this past weekend and with that comes fantasy football. I'm in 8 leagues this year (I know a lot of friends who asked me to be in their leagues). The one league that I will focus on here is the JustUs Geeks Fantasy League. This league features the hosts of the JustUs Geeks podcast, of which I'm a regular contributor of questions and have been a guest on an episode. I'm also apparently one of the resident "experts" in fantasy football. So I figure this would be the best league to highlight on this blog how I do in that league. And thanks to Yahoo, which has added a great recap, I can do that. So here's the result of Week 1 (my team is the Hub City All Stars):

Supporting a Good Cause through Fantasy Football
I came across this through Twitter and wanted to pass it along. Everyone that knows me knows I love football and I'm excited about the upcoming season. I also enjoy being involved in fantasy football, and I'm not alone. There are millions across the country that are signing up for leagues even as we speak. It's a great way to supplement watching the games, have bragging rights and enjoy winning a championship every now and then.
It is also a means by which people can help support a good cause. This last week Alexandra Schlereth, actress and daughter of current ESPN NFL analyst and former NFL great Mark Schlereth set out a twitter message promoting two openings in a fantasy football league that she and her dad participate in. The way these two spots were to be filled were by people donating $20 to Generosity Water. Generosity Water is a non-profit organization that is "committed to ending the clean water crisis" (from their twitter page). Their mission is: "Dedicated to ending the clean water crisis in developing countries, one community at a time. Through innovative awareness campaigns, strategic implementation and in depth accountability, we hope to inspire people to think globally and live generously." (from their website) For each $20 dollar donation, there was one entry put in and at the end of the week Alexandra drew two names and those two are invited to play in their league. Overall, there was nearly $800 dollars raised.
It's great to hear stories like this. God can use fantasy football to help raise money to help out those in need. What passions has God given you that you can use to help out those in need and to share the Gospel with others?

Special Fantasy Football Thursday Edition
Sorry for the vacation of sorts but life kinda got in the way. In the midst of this fantasy football kept going. This year was not kind to the three highlight leagues as I can finish no higher than 5th in the three of them. This includes the end of defending my championship in the Speed Kills league. The good news is that I'm still in line for two championships...they just happen to be in leagues that weren't highlighted. One league is where me and three buddies from church are in and the other is a friend of mine from seminary and his friends. I'm already strategizing for next season including being in at least one maybe two less leagues so I can better focus on the ones I'm in. But overall it's been an exciting year as always.
Update...upon further review it seems that I still have a chance in the Speed Kills league. Woke up this morning (Christmas day) to find out that Yahoo adjusted the score and in fact I won instead of losing. So I still have an opportunity to get the three-peat. We'll see if that plays out but it's still awesome that I have the opportunity.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 10 Edition
It's time for Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 9 Edition. This was another rough week as the teams went 1-2 in the three highlight leagues. Here's the breakdown for Week 10 and the look ahead to Week 11...
Breakdown:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces won their fourth game in a row as they defeated KILLA B by the score of 103.29 to 67.77. The game was decided during the Sunday Night game as QB Peyton Manning and WR Reggie Wayne manned a comeback that led to the Masterpieces getting the victory. With the win, the Masterpieces are in first place in their division for the first time all season. The leading scorers for the Masterpieces were Reggie Wayne, Peyton Manning, DeSean Jackson and David Akers. After Week 10, I'm in 3th place overall (1st in the Shakespeare Division) with a record of 6-4.
In the League of Evangelical Baptists, the Kansas City Titans have lost two in a row as they were defeated by the Baptist Brawlers by the score of lost a heartbreaker to the Purple Cobras by the score of 81.75 to 78.62. The Titans weren't able to hold off the Brawlers as they won on a FG made by K Stephen Gostkowski in the 4th quarter of the Sunday Night game. The good news (if there is any) is that they are only one game out of the division lead even with the loss. Leading scorers for the Titans were Drew Brees, Steve Breaston, Minnesota DEF, and Dwayne Bowe. After Week 10, I'm in 5th place overall (3rd in the Annie Armstrong Conference) with a record of 6-4.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers lost their first game in six weeks as they were defeated by Chi-Chiwawa's by the score of 100.39 to 83.44. The game was decided during the Sunday Night game with the huge performance by Randy Moss sealing the victory for the opponents. The loss snaps a five game winning streak by the Tigers. A bright spot was the Tigers have clinched a playoff spot. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Adrian Peterson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Wes Welker and David Akers. After Week 10, I'm in 3nd place with a record of 6-4.
Outlook for Week 11:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces (6-4) will look to keep the winning ways going as as they square off against Dooley's Dawgs (3-7). With the bye season over, there will be no more worries about people on the bye. The status of RB Michael Turner is in question because of health. If the cannot go, RB Fred Jackson will get the start. The Masterpieces have a one game lead in the division with four games left in the regular season (the last three matchups are division opponents). Key matchup will be the TE position (Antonio Gates vs. Jason Witten). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Masterpieces as the favorite.
In the League of Fantasy Footballers, the Kansas City Titans (6-4) will look to reverse the trend of losses as they face off against the LouisVillians (2-8). The Villians are managed by Jason, a friend from my days at UT Martin. The Titans will have a decision to make with regard to RB. There are no clear cut starters at this point and will probably go with a gametime decision as to who will start. This is a must win for the Titans as they look to stay in playoff contention. Key matchup will be at the QB position (Drew Brees vs. Tom Brady). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Titans as the favorite.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers (6-4) will look to get back in the win column as they take on The Sleepers (5-5). This is a rematch of a Week 4 matchup that saw The Sleepers get the victory. For the Tigers, it's a game about pride. For The Sleepers, it's a game to get into the playoffs. Key matchup will be at the DEF position (Philadelphia vs. Green Bay). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Tigers as the favorite.
That's all for this week. Tune in next Tuesday for another installment of Fantasy Football Tuesday...

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 9 Edition
It's time for Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 9 Edition. This is was a very wacky week. Going into the fourth quarter of the Monday night game, it was looking like I would finish 0-3. Instead, the teams went 2-1 in the three highlight leagues. Here's the breakdown for Week 9 and the look ahead to Week 10...
Breakdown:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces stormed a miraculous comeback as they as they defeated Deal's Gap Dragons by the score of 112.71 to 109.90. It was a matchup that looked like a loss going into the Monday Night game as it was a double digit deficit and only Hines Ward was going for the Masterpieces. It took the second TD catch by Ward with about a minute or so left in the game to complete the comeback. The Masterpieces have now won three in a rwo and are above .500 for the first time all season. The leading scorers for the Masterpieces were Michael Turner, Hines Ward, Peyton Manning, and David Akers. After Week 9, I'm in 6th place overall (tied for 1st in the Shakespeare Division) with a record of 5-4.
In the League of Evangelical Baptists, the Kansas City Titans lost a heartbreaker to the Purple Cobras by the score of 113.86 to 98.90. The Titans weren't able to make a comeback like in the other leagues. The good news was every other team in the division lost so they didn't lose ground in the standings. Leading scorers for the Titans were Drew Brees, Steve Breaston, Arizona DEF, and Ryan Moats. After Week 9, I'm in 5th place overall (tied for 1st in the Annie Armstrong Conference) with a record of 6-3.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers have now won five in a row as they made a miraculous comeback in a victory over MidwestCoastOffense by the score of 114.36 to 108.70. With the victory, the Tigers now have the longest winning streak in the league at the moment. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Ben Roethlisberger, David Akers, Rashard Mendenhall, and Philadelphia DEF. After Week 9, I'm in 2nd place with a record of 6-3.
Outlook for Week 10:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces (5-4) will look to keep the winning ways going as as they square off against KILLA B (6-3). The Masterpieces will be at full strength again while KILLA B will be without WR Steve Smith (from the NY Giants)as he'll be on the bye. The Masterpieces are looking to keep place with division leader Headhunters as right now there is a tie for first place. Key matchup will be the QB position (Peyton Manning vs. Tony Romo). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Masterpieces as the favorite.
In the League of Fantasy Footballers, the Kansas City Titans (6-3) will look to rebound from last week's loss as they face off against the Baptist Brawlers (6-3). The Titans will be without a starting RB from Houston (Steve Slaton/Ryan Moats) as they'll be on the bye while the Brawlers will be at full strength. This will be a tough matchup and one with playoff implications. Key matchup will be at the DEF position (Minnesota vs. Chicago). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Brawlers as the slight favorite.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers (6-3) will look to keep the win streak alive as they take on Chi-chiwawa's (6-3). This is a rematch of a Week 3 matchup that saw the Chi-chiwawa's get the victory. For the Tigers, they will be without RB Brandon Jacobs as he’ll be on the bye. The Chi-chiwawa's will be at full strength. The winner of this matchup will have sole posession of second place in the league se two teams have the two longest current winning streaks. Key matchup will be at the K position (David Akers vs. Nate Kaeding). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Tigers as the favorite.

Breakdown:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces put together a solid performance as they defeated the Buffalo Buckeyes by the score of 115.64 to 86.26. Despite an atypical performance by Peyton Manning where he scored less than double digits, the rest of the team picked up the slack. In fact there were six players with double digit point totals. The Masterpieces put together the second best point total this week and have now won two in a rwo and have gotten back to the .500 mark. The leading scorers for the Masterpieces were Reggie Wayne, DeSean Jackson, Domenik Hixon, and Michael Turner. After Week 8, I'm in 6th place overall (2nd in the Shakespeare Division) with a record of 4-4.
In the League of Evangelical Baptists, the Kansas City Titans stormed back and got a miraculous victory over rival Souper Bowl Sundays by the score of 73.40 to 72.92. It came down to the Monday Night game. Going in the Titans were in a huge hole, due in large part to the .5 point total by K Matt Prater and the ever more anemic -.4 by Steve Slaton. The Titans, behind MVP Drew Brees and WR Lance Moore did all they could to close the nearly 30 point gap. It came down to less than three minutes left in the 4th quarter and a 1 yard TD pass but the Titans were able to pull out the victory. Leading scorers for the Titans were Drew Brees, Kevin Smith and Minnesota DEF. After Week 8, I'm in 4th place overall (tied for 1st in the Annie Armstrong Conference) with a record of 6-2.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers have won four in a row as they got a close victory over Fear This by the score of 99.82 to 95.44. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Adrian Peterson, Philadelphia DEF, Jay Cutler, and Steve Smith. After Week 8, I'm in 3th place with a record of 5-3.
Outlook for Week 9:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces (4-4) will look get above .500 as they square off against the Deal's Gap Dragons (2-6). The Masterpieces will be at full strength again while the Dragons will be without K Rian Lindell as he'll be on the bye. The Masterpieces are one game beind for the division lead and will be going all out to try and reach it. Key matchup will be the TE position (Antonio Gates vs. Greg Olsen). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Masterpieces as the favorite.
In the League of Fantasy Footballers, the Kansas City Titans (6-2) will look to keep pace with the division leaders as they face off against the Purple Cobras (3-5). The Titans will be without Minnesota DEF along with TE Visanthe Shiancoe as they'll be on the bye while the Cobras will be without K Ryan Longwell. There are huge question marks at RB as Steve Slaton may or may not be benched given last week's horrible performance. He along with Kevin Smith (health) will be gametime decisions. Key matchup will be at the DEF position (Arizona vs. New York Giants). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Cobras as the favorite.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers (5-3) will face off in the matchup of the week as they take on the MidwestCoastOffense (8-0). For the Tigers, they will be without star RB Adrian Peterson as he’ll be on the bye. The Offense will be without WR Percy Harvin as he'll will be on the bye. These two teams have the two longest current winning streaks. Key matchup will be at the K position (David Akers vs. Nick Folk). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Offense as the favorite.

Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 7 Edition
It's time for Fantasy Football Tuesday: Week 7 Edition. This is my best week so far this season. My teams went 3-0 in the three highlight leagues. Here's the breakdown for Week 7 and the look ahead to Week 8...
Breakdown:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces made a tremendous comeback as they defeated Domination by the score of 121.80 to 107.45. The matchup was crazy in that Domination had two players out (one injury, one bye) and yet was leading big going into the Monday night game. The Masterpieces’ ended up winning, largely due to the performance by DeSean Jackson. His 23.90 performance on Monday night helped secure a comeback victory and helped the Masterpieces get back on track. The leading scorers for the Masterpieces were Peyton Manning, DeSean Jackson, San Diego DEF and Reggie Wayne. After Week 7, I'm in 6th place overall (tied for 2nd in the Shakespeare Division) with a record of 3-4.
In the League of Evangelical Baptists, the Kansas City Titans won a close game against the Seminary Slingers by the score of 97.49 to 92.46. It came down to the Monday Night game as the Slingers made a run. The Titans were able to hold them off and secure their fifth win of the season. It was a big win as several leading teams were upset this week. Leading scorers for the Titans were Drew Brees, Minnesota DEF and Steve Slaton. After Week 7, I'm in 4th place overall (tied for 1st in the Annie Armstrong Conference) with a record of 5-2.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers have won three in a row as they got the win over The Purple Pegasus by the score of 117.69 to 113.91. The Tigers fought back and staged a comeback thanks to the Monday Night game. With Philly DEF and K David Akers, the Tigers won and have the second longest winning streak right now in the league and are above .500 for the first time since Week 1. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Philadelphia DEF, Wes Welker, Adrian Peterson and Brandon Jacobs. After Week 7, I'm in 4th place (essentially tied for 3rd) with a record of 4-3.
Outlook for Week 8:
In the Speed Kills league, the K.C. Masterpieces (3-4) will look to keep the winning ways going as they square off against the Buffalo Buckeyes (2-5). The Masterpieces will be without WR Hines Ward as he will be on the bye while Domination will be without TE Kellen Winslow. The Masterpieces are looking for their first two game winning streak this season along with trying to keep pace for a playoff spot. Key matchup will be the QB position (Peyton Manning vs. Matt Schaub). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Masterpieces as the favorite.
In the League of Fantasy Footballers, the Kansas City Titans (5-2) will look to keep the winning ways going as he faces off against the Souper Bowl Sundays (3-4). The Slingers are managed by Adam, a friend from the days at Union. The Titans will be without 2 starting WR (Dwyane Bowe and Andre Caldwell) as both are on the bye. The Sundays will be without WR Chad Ochocinco and TE Heath Miller. The Titans have been scrambling the waiver wire to meet the WR need and will probably make another move if necessary before Sunday. It should be a tough conference matchup. Key matchup will be at the RB position (Steve Slayton/Kevin Smith vs. DeAngelo Williams/Ricky Williams). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Titans as the favorite.
In the Pigskin Prognosticators league, the Krakow Tigers (4-3) will look to get another big win as they face off against Fear This (0-7). Fear This is managed by Jon, a great friend and fellow alum from Union. The two teams squared off in Week 1 with the Tigers getting the victory. For the Tigers, they will be without WR Wes Welker as he’ll be on the bye. Fear This will be without RB Clinton Portis and TE Kellen Winslow as they will be on the bye. They also lost RB Leon Washington for the season with an injury. The Tigers will look to keep pace with the leaders and stay in the playoff hunt. Key matchup will be at the K position (David Akers vs. Jason Elam). As of right now, Yahoo is predicting the Tigers as the favorite.
